Pam Bustin was hired at Duke in 2011, taking over the program from former head coach Beth Bosman. Bustin had a great first season with the Duke team and earned ACC Coach of the year. 2013 was another great year for Bustin and the Blue Devils as the team earned a birth to the National Championship game, but unfortunately fell short of the title, 2-0. That year, Bustin earned NFHCA South Region Coach of the year. In 2015, the team made it to the Final Four in Michigan, and since then Bustin has earned 2016 ACC Coach of the year and 2016 NFHCA South Region coach of the year. In 2016 the team ended the season as ACC regular season champions and was ranked #1 in the NCAA poll.
